Turning the story of an iconic cocktail into a luxury lifestyle publication.
On the face of it, the classic Negroni – gin, vermouth and bitters – is a simple concoction. But thanks to its stylish Italian associations, a complex and illustrious history, it has become an icon amongst cocktails. This book is our homage to it – conceived, written, edited and designed entirely in-house.
Uncovering the stories behind the drink’s ingredients and its influence on the world of art, design, fashion, and more, The Life Negroni is, to borrow a few nice words from this review in The Spectator, ‘an album, a love letter, a guide, a memoir and a rich source of graphic delight.’
The Life Negroni features over 350+ images (including iconic campaign imagery, poster art, and vintage photography) as well as a selection of images shot by renowned drinks photographer and regular Spinach collaborator Rob Lawson. It considers the fascinating histories, branding and advertising of iconic brands such as Campari, Martini, Beefeater, Tanqueray, amongst many others.
