Paul Rhodes wins British Baker of the Year

Spinach is thrilled to see Paul Rhodes win 2018 ‘British Baker of the Year’. The award came in recognition for the London artisan bakery’s continued growth and development, and its commitment to sourcing and exploring new products and processes. The recently launched sourdough, for instance, is made using exclusively British heritage grains to help sustain UK farmers.

‘I am so proud, and a bit speechless, to have won this award,’ says the former Michelin-star chef Paul Rhodes. ‘I couldn’t have done it without either the continued support of our wonderful customers and of course the brilliant team I have working with me at the bakery.’

Last year Paul Rhodes approached our team at Spinach to help re-brand his artisan bakery. Our concept ‘The Art of Baking’ celebrates the company’s commitment to the craft of making, in using only the finest ingredients and maintaining a true dedication to traditional techniques. It has been a real pleasure working with Paul and his team, and we look forward to seeing how the company evolves.
