Brand identity for restaurant concept Akedo
Over recent months we’ve been working on exciting restaurant branding projects with US restaurant group The Arman Group and renowned Tokyo-based interior designers Studio Glitt.
The Washington, DC-based Arman Group commissioned Spinach to develop the brand identities for two Japanese dining concepts.
Named SH?T? and ?K?DO, the restaurants share roots in classical and contemporary Japanese food but will present very different menus and experiences to customers. Our mission was to create two unique brands to convey different experiences.

Yet again, it has been a pleasure working with Tokyo’s finest Studio Glitt on the project after completing the brand identity for London’s first Japanese super diner, Ichibuns, with them last year.
We’ll be updating the Spinach website with an entire case study once both restaurants open, so in the meantime, here is a sneak peek at some of the fun we’ve had creating the brand identity for ?K?DO.
